I'm looking to get a short throw shifter. I've been checking the archives and have a question. It seems that the Pacesetter and SMC are the same design, but is the Courtesy short shifter also the same? Also, I got an email price quote of $145 a while back, but in the archives, people were quoting prices of ~$85. Does Courtesy have more than 1 type of short shifter?

The Pacesetter and the SMC are the same shifter. I don't know about the Courtesy, I've never seen one in person. I know SMC has sold their shifter for $85 on special occasions, like SE-R conventions and group deals. Normally it's in the $150 range I think. The SMC/Pacesetter shifter is adjustable.

I've got the pacesetter/SMC and I love it. I put it in, and then 6 months later i set it even shorter. It was $92 from Louis at Apex. I'm not sure if he is still working there though.
There was a group deal within the last year for $77.
