Hey everyone-
I ran the car last night again @ Firebird Raceway. 1st run of the night I ended up with a 12.051 @ 118.77 mph w/ a 1.9 60' time, 17 degrees of timing and 20 psi. The car was spinning the slicks all the way down the track on that 1st run. The second run I mishifted and took out some rockers. I guess that is the way it goes. I will run the car next week @ 23-24 psi and with 18-19 degrees of timing. I will be dynoing the car once again next Sunday (04/22/01) so I will keep you all posted.

So close but no cigar. Only a matter of time, few psi off slicks, or maybe a matter of degrees advanced till you hit 11s. So close..

Thats a good pass,keep it safe and keep trying you will hit that 11sec soon. you running 3" all the way right? or you pushin all that through 2.5?

Sweet! Nice run, (Except for the rocker thing)You'll be in the 11's very soon.

I'm having the same 60' problems. I used to 60' a LOT better with only a 50shot!

I was just wondering. By "Took out some rockers," does he mean that he broke some of the rocker arms? Isn't that a real bad thing, I mean thats how mike gosselin ruined his engine I thought. When those rocker arms brake into pieces, don't the pieces fall into the engine? Also, by misshifting, does he mean that he over-revved the engine? Again, just wondering.

Yes

No, the rocker arms are in the head and most likely the chunks would f*ck up the head more than the internals of the motor

4G63 - I am running a stainless steel 2.5" downpipe that flares to a 3" before the flexpipe.

Thanks Jay! I almost had it. I WILL have it this Friday!

I overrevved the engine by misshifting, causing the rocker arms to pop off, NOT breaking them. I was able to get a hole new set from a 98 Sentra SE including all of the shims. The car started right up last night about 10:30 pm after the install. The car is running great! I can't wait until Friday!
