i dont think were gonna open it upThe only thing I would do is run some fluid through it. Fill it up drain it out. Just incase something made its way inside while sitting. If you are going to open it up replace all the case bearings and inspect the syncros.
sweeet:biggthumpive just installed a tranny yesterday that wwas sitting on plywood outside in the weather for a few years.. old seals, new fluid, ran awesome.
how would i know if mine on my 92 is mechanical or electric ?yes switch speedo...Yes LSD..
I bought a lsd tranny with 250,000 miles for 125 and the thing was just rebuilt!!! I would do a flush on it though if the holes havent been covered up.
even though im not running a lot of HP ?^^ what he said, wheel hop will crack a tranny casing quick.
i would use 3m window weld in stead of jb weld.
fill it in around the spaces where the pass. side axle goes in
Hp doesnt really matter. That wheel hop can get pretty violent with any amount of power, especially depending on the shape of your motor mounts, suspension, tires, etc.even though im not running a lot of HP ?
