If soft engaging is on your list of requirements, you'll definitely want a sprung disc. I recommend the ACT HDSS, it's perfect for a daily driver.

What's the point of running a 6 puck on a NA car. You'll be torturing yourself for no reason.

I had a XT/unsprung 6 puck and had to adjust my clutch cable once a week because it was stretching, in addition to snapping it twice in 6 months. (OEM Nissan)

I guess if you really want the joy of dealing with that then be my guest.

$190 for there rally series one...tq cap at 235

here is what they say about it....

Rally kits contain a modified high performance pressure plate and heavy duty organic disc. The linings on this disc are premium woven medium metal content lining. This facing has a 9000 RPM burst and dissipates heat quicker then any other organic lining on the market. This kit generates 1/3 more torque then stock. Also included in the kit are a throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, and alignment tool.

i have no experience using a stock nissan clutch. My only experience is from a del sol and a pos early 90's camry.

i had an aweful time with the del sol, so it's much better than that. the camry was super smooth, it's just slightly less smooth than that...i know that doesn't help at all, lol

I am with VEILSIDE all the way here. No-one should get a clutch for more torque that the highest his engine can put out (plus a bit more as a safety margin).

On a N/A car it is not needed and on a turbo... it may result in broken trannies instead of slipping clutches. What would you rather repair? A clutch or a transmission?

...you should look for a whole 'used'(already broke-in) setup, that way you don't have to worry about glazing your flywheel in the 'break-in period" (about 300miles, stop and go usage)...

.........Greg @ gspec will set you free....drop him a line and tell him your intention..

...good luck___J

I have the Centerforce Dual Friction. engages like a stock clutch, but holds up to like 250 hp. Its absolutley great on my UK 10:1 with S3's, Cold Air, Header, Side exit, plus all the no-emmisons crap, and autocrossing and track-days have yet to phase it....yet.
