SR16 cam people with cam gears, did it help unlock more power? or just move the power band around for you?

id also like to hear peoples expierences with cam gears on 16 cams. i think i might just wait until i go bigger to play with cam timming....

For us we have gained a few whp but, for the most part it just shifted the power band a bit.

Now on my car for some reason the car did not change peformance in any way with the SR16 cams. It just would not react to cam gear settings. Not sure why. Now with a few of the local guys they saw some HP increases and you could tell where the power band shifted.

Pretty much with the SR16 cams the basic setting that has worked best for us is 0 intake -2.5 exhaust.

i was thinking the same but with a stock sr16ve engine POEPLE WITH MORE years working with those engine what setting did you use or if is not good for the motr

macakin did 2,5+ intake and 5-exhaust on those cams i will try it on a stock sr6ve enginne
