I am thinking about doing one of these swaps. But my car is an automatic transmission. Can I still swap in one of these engines. Also, I know they are 3 types of Japanese Spec. SR20DE-T engines. Which one of these will be a better application for my 1987 Nissan Sentra? Also, which one will put out more horsepower? I am also from Southern California, so if you know any shops around the Orange County or L.A. county that can do this swap, please give me some address or phone numbers. Thank You For your time.

Glad to see another b12 sentra on the boards.

To answer a part of your question it would not matter what transmission you had in your vehicle before. When you do any SR20 swap into a b12 sentra you must also install with it a sr20 transmission.

Also understand that an SR20det will not bolt into your b12 chasis. This engine swap requires all engine and trani mounts to be fabricated.

I live in so. cal too but i have never came across of a shop that will do this swap... let alone a shop you can trust.

If you want info on the swap check out my section on sentra.net....
