Hey all,

Whenever I steer my classic all the way in any direction, I hear this loud clunk.

I was thinking bushings or CV boots/joints?

Anyone know what it could be?

before the cv joints/axle went on my car it would make this clunck clunck clunck noise as I turned, this could be your problem. if mine starts to make funny noises I usally take it to midas for an estimate and then fix what they say is wrong, maybe you should try this.

Do you have any suspension mods? I developed an intermittant clunck after I installed camber plates. Im told they do that at low speeds and it's not a major problem.

1. Thrust Bearings on the front shock assembly.

2. Tie-rods.

3. CV Joints. Check the boots. It's rare for a CV joint to fail with a hard intact boot.

#2 and three are relatively easy to check. #1 requires disassembling the shock assembly
