When i crank the wheel i hear a clunk from the front end, then whatever way i turned it, the wheel will be cockeyed in that direction and want to pull me that way when i let go of the wheel. To fix it i will stop at a light and crank it the opposite way till i hear a clunk again then it will be fine. Anyone have any clues whats causing this?

Check out the ball joints and tie-rod ends. Something is funky. Sometimes springs will pop in and out of the lower perches and cause a pop will turning, check the lower seat pads on the springs for wear.
