Well the Subject says it all. I am hopin to have about $3000 left after sellin my truck to play with, what should I get for my new 97 200SX SE-R?

I like the idea of a Turbo, but they seem kinda outa price range, might be able to pull it off.

Other possibilities are suspension, but I have yet to drive one, so i don't know how much work it needs

Could also get some nice lightweight wheels and perf tires

Stereo is always an option

What should I do?!?!?!

There is so much to choose from. I say start here:
www.se-r.net
that should give you an idea as to what is available.
Me personally, I would recommend JWT S3 cams, OBX header and a CAI for a start. ;)
What are you most into? You could get a little bit of each such as:
-$1000 bolt on's (exhaust, CAI, header)
-$400 suspension (lower, FSTB, RSTB)
-$600 stereo (headunit, sub, box, amp)
-$200 alarm
-$800 for nitrous or cams&pullies or rims
Also - you can sell your wheels to a b13 owner, just some ideas.
just do turbo, it's not out of your price range if you buy used parts and do the work yourself
I say figure out what you really want. If you go turbo. Your gonna need a alot of supporting mods so your car won't break. Gauges, Engine Mounts, ES suspension bushings are also a good idea less wheel hop, Clutch, Exhaust, Probably a bigger radiator if you have overheating problems. Your Going to need to do something with your tranny because the third gear is weak.

3k might be ok to drop a VE in it though. If you do the work yourself.

I say with 3k get some s3/s4 cams, a 2.5 inch catback (in case you go turbo) , Hyperco's there's a group buy for b14's right now, Some Agx's, and some rims if you still have money. If you still have money upgrade to a NX2000 brake setup.

I listed these mods because they'll work with a turbo setup, as well as a NA setup this way you don't lose money on parts.

I say go turbo if you like boosting, if you feel the need to go faster you could always turn up the boost.
i say do a full tuneup on the 200 and figure out what type of setup you want to run ie: all motor, boost or nitros. after you decide, there is a lot of information on these setups if you do a search. good luck with the 200 and your decision...
