I tested it for myself, I held a top speed of 131mph!
Thats what the magazines said i believe :)

my governer seems to be set at 124....
I dont think the 91-93 SE-R were speed limited (govern'd)
i took mine past the 150 mark
If I calculated right, our cars should hit 150mph right around redline. What rpm were you at SuperblkStalion.
Since both the tachs and speedos are off, the only real way to check the speed is with radar gun
yea my car didnt redline but it just wasnt pushing anymore power once it got to 131. its not governerd i dont think.
It's not goverened, it's "Drag-Limited" For example if you want to cruise at 20 mph you only need about 10 horsepower. But to go say 120, you need more like 120 horsepower. Basically when you stop accelerating, all the power from the engine is being used to push the car though the air and overcome wind resistance. What makes it worse is that our cars make peak horsepower in the mid 6000 RPM range, so once you rev past the peak, you are making less power as the car goes faster. So obviously it will stop accelerating soon after the power peak. To overcome this you would need more meat on the high side of the powerband.
i have also noticed this ive got mine up to 135 mph and i seemed to stop hallin.
well yea my car is stock and the engine has 153k on it so i would imagen it doesnt have its most potential to push me.
I forgot about the drag limit. thank you for bringing that up, because youre right thats an important factor in a cars performance.
Id like to see what the drag test were on this car.
I know they go through alot of test while in the design stage.

talking about aerodynamics i know this is why they use low front spoilers to deflect the wind. kinda shoot it over isnt it?

No they use low front spoilers to lessen the lift generated by the wind. If you drive the G35 with the aero package, you would realize at high speeds it's quite stable. It has zero lift front and back (with the spoiler).
oh i got ya
I have passed a T3/T4 Civic at 145mph. (cough cough) On a privately owned road of course. :)

or a good GPS system ;)

You mean 91-94.
I wasnt sure about the 94's.
I think I'll try again
Mine tops out at 124 mph.
ive take my car up to 130mph, that was a long while back on my trip to az on a long 10+ mile straight it would have still kept pulling too but i let off. that was more than fine for me. it got up to it pretty quick, i did several bursts to 125mph one with a drop to 3rd from a 70 mph roll and then a drop to 4th from 70 and then just two 5th gear starts to 125 from 70. it got up there pretty quick.
i took my 200sx to 135 with no problem. I here they have a limiter of 109 But I think I pass thats cause I had a bad speed sensor.
