These are the stock cams I got to replace the S1s in my NX. They have big time surface rust on the lobes and everywhere, very rough and corroded. I'm 99% sure they are unuseable, but I just wanted to run it by ya'll.

Oh, my bad, I thought you were trying to sell them to us.
They look nasty. CLR is some crazy cleaner that cleans everything. Gold, silver, brass, you name it, it cleans it. Its responsible for eating the caulk around my tub drain and causing a leak down on my first floor.
but it just might clean those cams up.

Well, thanks to Eric, 1500 grit sandpaper did the trick. About 15 minutes of sanding with 2 people and they are like new.
Thanks Eric! Well, kinda... guess I don't get S1s now...
ah well

lots of CLR and something called crocus paper
check a good hardware store for this. you don't want to be marring any bearing surfaces!!!!!
You can also use a good acid based wire wheel cleaner (diluted of course) and wash the cams really well when you are done

Those didn't look as bad as the ones out of my old engine, at least they are still rounded off, and don't have flat spots.
