What boost levels on a DET would necessitate using forged pistons and rods? From what I've read in the archives, the stock internals are damn near indestructable. Especially after reading that thread on using Aquamist water injection with stock internals. Could I save the $1000+ by using stock DET internals? Thanks

Without water injection, I think you could run around 20lbs of boost on the stock DET internals on racing gas. Maybe mid 20s with water injection and racing gas. You would really need a large T3/TO4E to put that much stress on it.
