There should be 2 starter bolts (14mm heads), 5 bolts along the header side of the motor (17mm heads), two 14mm bolts along the bottom, and in the rear motor mount on the firewall: 2 bolts w/ 17mm heads, and 3 bolts of varying lenths with 14mm heads (two of them are inside the rear mount, one is on the bottom part of bracket.
I have taken out 11 bolts so far....

so i am missing 3 bolts apparently.
I am trying to do this without removing the crossmember...i read it could be done but maybe im just making too much work for myself. I did remove the bolts from the rear mount/passenger mount already. Should I just go ahead and remove the crossmember?
make sure you got the 2 big 17mm bolt from behind the motor. the other hiding bolt is a 17mm that is close to where the starter bolts are. it is slightly higher than the starter bolts. there are 2 14mm bolts that are behind the cross member, i always have to take the crossmember off to get to them. here is what i do to support everything for clutch jobs.
1. take off cross member, remove 2 14mm bolt on bottom of block/tranny. remove rear torque mount and housing.
2. reinstall crossmember without bolting to the torque mounts.
3. unbolt the tranny mount. block will fall about an inch onto the crossmember. unbolt tranny. this is hard on the tranny mount. if you have a stock mount i would suggest using jacks for support instead of relyingon the mount to hold the motor.
i think you need to remove the x-member to get the job done easily.

you can leave the crossmember in. You can get to those two 14mm bolts with an open wrench or a ratchet and extension.

Once the tranny is off, slip a bolt through the bracket and block to support the weight of the motor (so it doesn't rest on the crossmember on only two mounts).

Just slip the bolt through there, it doesn't have to bolt to anything or nut it.
are those 2 14mm bolts connecting the tranny to the rear mount? Cuz i got those with a swivel... i dont know if thats what your talking about or not
i think you can get to them on the b13's but the b14 has an extra spacer on the crossarm that gets on the way. i might be wrong. just what i think i remember.
alright, well i got it off!! there was one 14 mm sitting in the crossmember at the rear mount. I used a 1/2" extension from the gun, down to a 3/8" extension so i could use a 3/8" 14mm so it fit through the little hole easier. thanks!!! BTW, ill have pics up later of what happened to my ACT clutch...im so pissed. one of the springs busted out somehow

Oh man that spacer thing on a b14 crossmember F**KED me up! When we were putting a DET into a 200sx, We forgot to remove that first, and since the DET block was resting on it wedging it in, we were banging it out. That thing pop'd out and nailed my eyebrow, taking out a GIANT piece of skin.

Anyhow good that you found the mysterious bolt left.
