I don't know if this has been posted before, but I could never find it.

Thanks to Frosty for helping me to locate the gearing for the euro trannies, which I will assume are the same or as close to the jdm as possible. There is very little difference through the gears and I will assume that many of the euro numbers have been rounded. The final drive seems to be the same.

And also thanks as always to the creators of www.Se-r.net

Hope it helps.

...........USDM.............Euro
1st ......3.333..............3.06
2nd.......1.826.............1.83
3rd........1.286..............1.21
4th........0.975..............0.90
5th.......0.756..............0.76
Rev.......3.153.............3.15

Final......4.176..............4.18

This info was provided on the following links.

Additionally, for all those newbs asking about identifying a lsd tranny:

I hope this helps.

Search keywords: jdm, euro, tranny, gears, gearing, gear ratios, lsd, vlsd, limited slip differential, diff.

Euro P10 ratios are almost as above, but here they are in more detail....

1st....3.063
2nd....1.826
3rd....1.207
4th....0.927
5th....0.756
rev....3.154
FD.....4.177

These are from the P10 eGT, afaik the non eGT has a taller 5th gear...

probably, but most jdm trannies will take a while to get to that point, considering the lower mileage we get them at

just check for the vlsd, I didn't have it on mine, now I know the "hump" that has been described so many times. My motor came w/ the tranny so it was no cash out of pocket. It does not have vlsd but it works great, if I could traction it would be even better. I plan to fix my old tranny very soon and have already sold this one to someone that needs to get by for a while till he can source a good tranny.

You probably bought a non LSD one. I"ve been getting motors there for over 3 years and have only seen an LSD tranny there *once*.

you have to know what to look for on the tranny....I provided a link in the 1st post on visual identification. Any vlsd tranny is good to have IMO. but they came on the b13's and of course other uk cars is what I am hearing. But you will see, if you have one already, you are better to just keep yours.

keep in mind if you have the cash, NISMO has a diff that will work with the non LSD tranny's.
