ever since my trip to the local track, The transmission has been slowly leaking fluid. I replaced both halfshafts and the seals in there, and it's still leaking fluid. My final conclusion is that it is cracked but cant seem to locate where it's cracked at.
I assume this is because of the bad wheel hop I got on a few of the launches

Can I get a shop just to weld the crack up and go on about my business? I mean the transmission works fine -- I Just have to fill it up with fluid every week as it is which is annoying and I really need to get it taken care of.

Anybody know of a shop in Dallas who can do this for me?

Any advice greatly appreciated

if leaking ,can be welded on the crack. put some loctite on the tranny bolts and on the tranny mount bolts so they won't come loose and prevent further cracking or chipping.

go to plano machine shop, I think they could probably do it. if not, I will try to think of another place that can do it, and come in and get some motor mounts man, also your leak is coming from your transmission where the shifter goes in.

Buy solid motormounts or Energy Suspension mounts.
Get ES Control arm bushings. Use the waterbox. Dry violent hop cracked your case. Welcome to reality. I have cracked a box already. Solution, go to junkyard and get new box. Mine had 5th gear pop out so it was a blessing in disguise when it cracked.

I recommend saving $230 and ordering 94 shore urethane from www.mcmaster.com. I did this with my car to give it solid motor mounts. Works great and no pressing! It's $20.71 without shipping. Here's where to go for instructions to do it:

http://www.nx2k.com/nx2000/hd_mounts.htm

Here's the part number to enter at www.mcmaster.com:

8644K18

Just stick that number in the search field and order one. Here are pics when I did mine:

It comes in a small paint pail thing, you add the catalyst, mix it up, and pour them in your motor mounts aftering using duct tape on one side to hold the liquid it. Let them set overnight and you are done. Reinstall them. Solid motor mounts for a total investment of like $25. I LOVE mine.

Let me know if you have any questions

I made the homemade motor mounts. They worked well, however you have to put it with a really loud racket from 4-5k rpm. It really is a terrible sound. However, it does makes the car a lot more responive.

I would, however, recommend getting the ES inserts instead. Because if you ever decide to go back to stock, it is a major pain in the ass to drill those polyurethane ones out (It took over 5 hours today)..

many will suggest that you take the tranny out of the car and have someone TIG weld it. i know this is a lot of work. my tranny had a crack and it can be seen outside. one of the fellow se-r list members suggested to get JB weld. i got some JB weld at home depot and i fixed the crack myself. i drained all the fluid out first and i patched it with JB weld. it's good as new! no leaks at all! in case you are wondering what JB weld is, it comes in two tubes that you mix and it's kinda like a cold weld.
