You have the correct motor. The low port ( the second picture) was first used in the '94 MY cars. The articles you posted are wrong.

Yup, low-ports were introduced in 1994 in the USA.

Some of the stuff on se-r.net is a little outdated, but we're giving you the facts, my man. What more do you need to know? Just ask and we'll answer.

Thos pictures on ww.se-r.net should say 91-93 for high-port and 93.5-present for low-port. That's quite funny that no one ever mentioned that over the years of that site being out there.

94's built 10/94 and before had the highport, 11/94 and later had a lowport. I was looking through a Nismo catalog today at work(Ghonda, Lexus, Subaru, Toyota, Nissan dealership) and noticed this. Engine parts listings for the 94 changed depending on 10/94 and previous and 11/94 and later build dates.

Actually I believe there is, there were discussions that some of the late '93 models are low ports.

no pics=lies Ive never seen one, only heard about mysterious 93.5's that have lowports that in reality end up being a 94 by the build date.

The G20's have a swap between 93 and 94 where they began using the low-ports in later 93's before the 94 year production run. But since that was in Japan, I will assume the SE-R's did not swap until the actual 94 year production.
