How hard is it to replace the water pump on a 91 G20? My mechanic quote me $380 to replace it. Is he ripping me off or it is the truth? The labor rate is about $80/hr.
Will I be able to do it on my own? And the FSM didn't comment too much on it. Thanks.

Just looked at my FSM for my car. I am mildly, but not profoundly retarded in the mechanical sense. The Install notes are kinda vague tho. Even still I would attempt this change.
$80 is kinda steep for out here on LI. I bitch when my mech charges me $65. dont know about CA.
My advice; you might be getting ripped off. Find a cheap WP somewhere and try it with a friend.
