Just the other day my alarm started going off for no reason. I figured out that whenever my keychain remote is in range of the car, the car alarm will go off. And even if i stop it it will go off again as long as the remote is in range. So i took the batteries out of the remote thing and put new ones in thinking maybe it was just dead batteries. Well i wasted $10 on impossible to find batteries because it didn't work. Has anyone else had this problem and what can i do to fix it?

try reprogramming the key pad. maybe somthings funky.

Keyfob is "hot". It's constantly transmitting due to a short in the circuitry. How old is it? Is it a cheapo? OEM?

Have you been able to walk by other cars, say at the mall, and arm/disarm them? :rofl: sorry just had to ask that!

i believe its OEM and its the original to the car which is a 96. How do i reprogram it?

i would just get rid of it and get a viper ive never had any probs with mine and its anciant

Your transmitter's panic button is most likely stuck or like Tekkie said its a short. Your options are:

1) Replace your transmitter
2) Get a aftermarket alarm system
