I've heard Bosch platinum are the best for sr20de but NGK have always been good for me on my Hondas, and nippon denso are pretty good too. I've used magnecor and MSD wires. I have to say I liked the magnecors way better than the MSD's. I have no current mods and I only plan on getting intake and exhaust till I get my new engine. what are you guys running on your sr20's.

Oh yes, wires... Never buy aftermarket wires from a cheesy autoparts place... Save the headache, get Standard Nissan wires, they cost more, but well worth it. Unless anyone knows any good performance wires, thats my answer.

Until you break over 200+ hp the stock wires and plugs are about the best you can get. NGK Plats work great and don't have the noise the Bosch +4's have. Or atleast every car I have been in with the +4's there is tons of electronic interference with them on the radio. And also made the car run like crap, but this is IMHO. As for wires. Again till you get above 200+ hp the stock wires are about the best you can get for fit, finish, and performance. If you are dying for different wires I've always heard the NGK wires were pretty good, Magnacores arent bad either Eric is running them along with quite a few others. But I've always heard that its hard to keep the boots on the plug wells and distrubuter. But again thats hearsay

I have Accel wires and rapidfires(which will be swapped for NGK platinums in the very near future)which sem to work OK....i've had great luck with Accel wires in many of my other cars, except for my old Probe, which I ran NGK wires in and was pretty impressed with their performance/durabilty...My 2 cents..

Thanks for the help guys, I cant remember where is saw it but yesterday i saw an article about ngk plat VS. bosch plat, and the bosch actually gave a better improvement. I just put in my new cap and rotor and bought the plugs. I gotta pick up a gapper now, .044 is what it calls for , anybody try different spacing for a benefit?

thanks

Brian, how is it that the NGK wires dont fit? I have always used those wires along with the NGK Platinums, and never once had a problem with the fit or durability of them. Just curious what problems you have run into.

My NGK wires fit perfectly, maybe you got a bad set, or they gave you the wrong set?

The best plugs are the stock ones. Bosch start out good and then pull a big crapper. You do not need any wires either. A waste of money.

the wires are just a little long, no big deal, they work fine, just look like crap. I am about to do a tuneup on the car soon, so they will be trashed anyway.
