Oh crap........just reread my post. Man, I'm so sorry about my mistake. :(
Thanks for correcting me. :D
Just for reference 89-90 240sx has a KA24E
91-98 has a KA24DE.
also for further reference

S13 = 200SX in Europe
180SX and 89-94 Silvia in Japan

S14 = 95-98 Sivia in Japan

and also there is an S15 chassis not sold in the U.S. sold under the 99+ Silvia in Japan

all the U.S. 240SX's have the KA series...but japanese and european models came with the CA18DET (Early s13's in japan) or the SR20DET (later and european s13's, s14, and s15)
Heres how to read Nissan engine codes:

The first 2 letters are the engine series. For example: SR, GA, RB, VQ, VK

The next 2 numbers are the displacement. ex.:
20 = 2 liter
16 = 1.6 liter
35 = 3.5 liter

The last 1 to 4 letters are valvetrain, fuel delivery, and forced induction.

DET translates into:
-DOHC
-Multiport fuel injection
-Single turbo

DE translates into:
-DOHC
-Multiport fuel injection

VET:
-DOHC w/ Variable valve lift
-Multiport fuel injection
-Single turbo
See less See more
E:
-SOHC
-Mulitport Fuel Injection

I:
-SOHC
-Singleport Fuel Injection
