Alright, how about this then: Does anybody know anyone who makes one (not a company, but a guy with the skills)? I've seen some pictures of Classics with cool grilles, and wanted to make mine a little cooler, too. I'll obviously send my stock one to him if he needs it. Thanks.

how about cutting out the plastic parts, sand the stubbles clean, paint over it, and put some mesh behind it... doesn't seem hard.. and probably would look great

Sounds like a plan. I'm new at this, so you'll need to help me with one thing: Where do I get mesh? Would a place like Home Depot have good enough stuff, or do I need to stay with the auto-only stuff? Thanks.

since it serves no function theres really no specification on the mesh... use whatever looks good... yeah home depot carries it.. some people buy chicken wire... whatever you like
