I believe this was a question on the mailing list not too long ago, but there weren't any replies. When accelerating at WOT, I can hear a whistling noise from my engine. Any ideas what this may be?

LOL weird, same name, close to same car, close to same sound. Does it sound like it is coming from the right side? Mine does that at WOT in the upper rev range. I have no clue what it is, figure its probaly like the timing chain rubbing probaly could use a tensioner, i dont know tho...

I'm surprised that this would be so on a stock intake. I will be getting a POP soon. So, maybe that will give us some insight. Kevin, your car is almost a mirror image of mine, besides mine being 5 spd and a darker red.

WOT- Wide Open Throttle. The noise is from the timing chain/chain tensioner. I've changed mine three times but it keeps coming back. I've had the noise for over 120,000 miles though and nothing's happened yet. My buddy's '94 is starting to develop the problem too (at 90,000 miles). Common.
