YEA! i finally have some dough! after the pearl paint, centerforce clutch, and 17" rims w/ tires that i bought in the last 2 weeks, now i have some more! who makes the best headers for b13? i would really love to find some 4-1 headers instead of 4-2-1, they arent exactly legal but my NX sticker says i have a 97 pontiac, hehe
so i dont really care about getting a sticker!

1.)hotshot
2.)jim wolf
3.)stillen
4.)pace setters (haha just kidding they suck)

AEBS are 4-2-1 actually. The general consensus is that AEBS give a little more low end, whereas the Hotshot gives a little better topend. Make your choice between those assumptions.

The Stillen is not so great and pretty expensive I believe.

So then what are the Hotshot??? I thought the Hotshots were 4-1 and AEBS are 4-2-1? Am I just backwards in my memory? I guess maybe I shouldn't respond on N/A only issue anymore.

AEBS 4-1...within 1hp of the Hotshot on top but makes about 7-8ft bls more torque. Awsome quality, sounds like crap. Gives that oh so nice housefly sound.

I know I was one of the first to have one...

I think we should just write on every SE-R webpage:

THERE ARE NO SUCH THING AS JWT HEADERS, JUST HOTSHOT HEADERS SOLD BY JWT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jay, can you show dyno charts... I find it hard to believe the AEBS will yield 7-8 ft lbs more of torque over the Hotshot....

OK, we've covered this topic several times on the Forum - check back in the posting topics.

For dyno charts, check the December 1999 SCC, page 48. Read the info, compare the charts, then ask those who own.

I love my AEBS header. It IS raspy, as Jay mentioned. It IS beautiful, as Jacen mentioned. It DOES perform, as the dyno attests. It is a more laborious installation, as it IS a single 4-into-1 header, NOT a 4-into-2-into-1 like the Stillen/JWT/Pacesetter.

For more info, check Jay's site. Also, read the article "Suck, Squish, Bang, Blow" at the rear of the same SCC. It explains the theory behind header design.

THEN make an informed decision.

Ben I believe you're backwards. The Hotshot is 4-2-1, and the AEBS is 4-1.

What do you think I'm pulling these numbers out of my ass?

The chart used to be on Chris Pinthongs site but is no longer around to the best of my knowledge.

All you have to do is open SCC for the header shootout. It was the same test. The AEBS won for best peak hp best torque, and widest powerband.
