My girlfriend borrowed my car to go to work and to get an estimate on a new windshield at this place by her work that replaces windshields cuz mine is cracked. The doofuses (doofi?) Told her that my winshield replacement would be about 400$ they told her they'd have to keep it for 8 hours for some sort of sealant and all these extra charges because my winshield has a blue tint to it.(I don't know about any of you guys, but on my NX all my windows are a light brownish tint, so WTF.) I think because she was a girl they tried to scam her. When I called another place they quoted me around 200$ for windshield and install and they would come out to my house to do it.
Have any of you guys had your windshield replaced? And if so, what did you pay?

Yeah,$400.00 sounds a bit high. $200.00 is way more reasonable. Shop around first.

BTW,the sealant is so your windshield won't leak in the rain. But they don't need to keep it for that long. Most of the windshield repair places around here just use a blue tape on the windshield untill the sealant cures.
