My ECCS relay is ticking when i turn off the car, it is causing the battery to drain so i have to keep unplugging it when i leave the car!

I have put in another relay and have the same problem, i presume that something is shorting out but what is actually connected to it so i can start checking things?

Still having the same problem! i`ve now got the drawings for the car (B13/N14 with SR engine)

It seems to be taking longer for the car to fire when starting! it would normally be like " chug chug Fire" but now its more like "chug chug chug chug chug Fire" with a bit of a struggle to keep going!

Any ideas?

Right car wont start now! it just turns without firing!

Found that the 25A engine control fuse in the fender has blown but it ran like this before it stoped running!

I have swapped ecu`s and have the same happening, if i disconnect the fuseable link it stops the relay clicking and likewise if i unplug the connector behind the engine that connects the engine sensors and starter motor!

I dont understand why the relay is clicking? it is letting the red light on the ECU stay on, i presume that the relay holds the power for about 1 sec after turning the car off then releases.

Any ideas????????

Problem is now fixed!
I printed off the FSM Diagnostic procedures and ran through Diagnostic procedure 22 (Main power supply and ground) first.
It lead me to the 25A engine control fuse that i knew was blown so i got a few from the breakers yard and tried that, started straight away!

Still dont know why it blew so thats next on the agenda!

thanks for all the help! :squint: LOL :D
