I just started noticing the other day that if I turn the defrost on and I am at idle I can smell exhaust fumes in the car pretty bad. Not sure what could cause this or why it's happening.... Anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot it?

I had a leak in the emissions equipment, same thing happened to me.
Whatever that little box is on the front of the engine, silver looking thingy that has a pipe going to the exhaust manifold. It was bypassed when I bought the car, the ghetto bypass came out, which spewed exhaust into the engine compartment. Hooked it back up, works fine now.
Check all your emissions stuff, lines, etc.

it might be the carcol canister is full or dirty. i am not sure but this might be the problem.
its black and there are 3 vac lines comming onto it(pretty sure there are 3). it might be on the strut tower or in front by the battery it is round. hope that helps.SR20 Inside said:
