I don't think I ever seen any one ask this question. Are the Intake manifold interchangeable with all the Sr20 motors? This include putting a sr20det intake manifold onto a sr20ve motor or a sr20ve intake manifold onto a sr20de and etc, etc, hope you get what i'm saying.

GTIR has its own bolt pattern

91-93 US DE, 91-93 UK DE, 91-97 JDM DE and all AWD DETs will line up. These are highport.

94-2001 US DE, 94-99 UK DE, and 97-00 are low port this includes Roller Rocker and VE motors. The VEs dont line up not 100% sure because i did not check yet.

There are a few motors that cross over but these dates are about correct.

Thanks for the info, I was just curious and trying to come up with a question that i dont think anyone as ask. Many more technical question to come. I think it would have been cheaper for nissan to keep the same molding for all the sr20 heads. I guess the sr20ve would have been an exception because the inside of the head would need more room for the vvl system.

Since there probably not a chance that the sr20det intake manifold fit on the sr20ve head; Will the sr20de intake manifold fit on a sr20det head?

The answer is yes

Can you put the RR (00+) intake manifold on the VE motor? This would simplify wiring for the TPS, fuel, etc...

If possible, wouldn't it make the VE swap easier for those that have B15's and P11's???

How could it be any easier? All the sensors either get swapped from the old motor, or use the same connector. In my car, every sensor was the same, excpet the AAC valve, which either needed the harness changed, or make an adapter like I did.

The b15/p11 motor's have top feed injectors correct??? Don't VE's use side feed??? What about idle stuff and not having to un-bolt the TPS and other's.

Here's the point...

All I really wanted to know was if the RR intake manifold would bolt up a VE without issue. What's the big deal? I don't remember mentioning B14's or anything.

I don't think anyone has tried the RR manifold on the VE yet. They look the similar, but not the same. The VEs use the same style injector as the B13/B14 injector. As for B15s, I don't know, I haven't messed with them yet. With the TPS, its easier to just take the TB off the old motor, and put it on the new one. The VE is an automatic, and also doesn't have any way for the cruise cable to hook up. If the RR intake does fit the VE, this could be an upgrade for the B15 guys. I'm almost sure the VE manifold flows better than the RR. The runners look longer than the B14 low port, that's for sure.

I hear that the VE might get its very own thermoblock spacer. I will wait a year and find out.
Dont count on them right away, I talk to Sean at Outlaw often and I dont think he will make them just yet. there arent that many VE's yet. If they are the same as the RR head then I can see it happening but untill there are a lot of them, probably not gonna see one. For a while at least.

Not what I heard but I will check with my source.

Im not saying he's not going to make them but just not yet. If he could sell 50 I'm sure he'd do it right away. He still hasnt been able to find a low port to prototype in Indy. I dont know of anyone in Indy with a VE and he wont do it anymore unless they're local. It's to hard to do on a car that isnt local. He has shown interest in doing it but there are other things that are a bigger priority right now.

I talked with someone who said they will drop a VE car off to him next year sometime. Not local but he would leave the car for the time that it takes to do the job.
